Now why she cares is a very different story. It can be financial motivation or habit to do everything on 100% but anyway at the end you just see how it is. Either person does more than expected or just enough to get things going without ensuring the quality or considering consequences.

Yes, the company should do its part. No doubts clearly stated tasks, realistic time frames and fair compensation do matter. Nevertheless, sometimes the person just does not care. Probably then it is time for a serious talk or tough decisions.
