I was ordering sushi delivery this evening. While talking to the manager, I felt like ordering sake on top. So I asked what sake options they had. They didn’t have any. That was a very valid answer. They just didn’t have sake in the menu.

Maybe it is a professional deformation of my personality, but it just sounded so weird. They could have doubled my check right there and then. As a matter of fact, the courier could have bought the bottle on his way to my place in any supermarket and sell it to me at two prices right away. And instead, they just said no.
